Few details : – it is a structural design and analysis software developed by Bently  System., software is widely used in analysis and designing structure, building bridges, towers transportation industrial and utility structures, tunnels, bridges piles, and building materials.

Analysis: – it refers to determination of axial forces, shear forces, bending moments, torsional moment etc, acting on different member of a structure due to applied load and load combination.

Features of staad pro

1.it is based on finite  element method(F.E.M.)

2.it analyses 2d (plane)and 3d(space) structure.

3. it is used to design RCC structure, steel structure, timber structure, and for earthquake analysis and wind load analysis

Inputting the data in staad pro:-

a)staad editor method(to understand the staad working method)

b)structure wizard method (generally used all the time)

select plane for ( structure)

file name>give the name,

length> meters,

force> KNs,

next

select>open staad editor method

finish

A window will open delete all the information and type the following information about the example problem,
