3D drawing in Autocad

basic commands used in 3d  drawing and there work

To draw a box:

write BOX- press enter↵  specify the first corner using the mouse button

then press L and enter↵ specify length, then width and height,

if you want to draw a cube then BOX enter↵ and C  enter ↵ and specify the length.

To draw a cylinder :

write CYL and enter↵ specify the centre point then base radius and then the height.

To draw a cone:

write CONE and enter↵ specify the centre point then base radius and then the height.

To draw a sphere :

write SPH and enter↵ specify the centre point radius specify the radius or diameter.

To draw a wedge:

write WED and enter↵  and specify the first corner point

and then L enter↵ specify the length, width  and the height or just

use the mouse to assign these dimension.

to draw a torus:

write TORUS ↵specify the centre point specify the radius and then inner radius.

(inner radius should be smaller than outer radius during value assigning)

{if you want to save the image of drawing use RENDRING

write RR and enter↵ (new window will open with the image you can save it}

for view control:
to get a diffrent view or rotate a drawing for your ease you can use command ORBIT,   if you type this in command you will get three options to select

1. constrained view

2. free orbit view

3. continues orbit view

or just write ORBIT and enter↵ and then click the right mouse button and you will get all the options

REVOLVE command use:

firstly change the view in 2d or(top, front any)

use polyline to draw a line segment with 3 or 4 turns

then write REVOLVE in the command box and enter↵

select the  line initial point and  the end point and rotate it 360 degrees to get a solid drawing

LOFT command use:

Draw two or three objects on different elevation (one should be above the other and in 2D)

Then type LOFT command and enter↵  and select both objects you will get a solid

drawing between these 2D objects.

3DPOLY:

it is a polyline command to draw line continuously in 3d drawing.

HELIX:

write HELIX and enter↵ then specify the centre point and after that base radius and top

radius and then T enter↵ and enter the no. of turns and then specify the height.

SWEEP :

select an object and select a path(especially a line ) it will extend on that path.

PRESSPULL:

applied to a solid object to decrease on increase the height of a solid (F6 should be in ON mode)

FOR TWO INTERSECTING OBJECT THERE ARE 3 COMMANDS:

UNION: select objects and enter↵ the common part will merge and all objects become a single object.

INTERSECTION: select object and enter↵ and we will get only common part

SUBTRACT: select main object and enter↵ and select secondary object enter(command part and the secondary object will be removed.
